SWEET EASTER BREAD

Ingredients:
1 kilogram flour
700 ml warm milk
150 grams of butter
50 grams powdered sugar
1 teaspoon salt
30 grams of fresh yeast


Crumble the yeast, sprinkle it with a teaspoon of sugar and a teaspoon of flour and leave it in a warm place to activate. Heat the milk to make it warm (or hot, but not boiling), and melt the butter in it. In another bowl, sift the flour with the sugar, add the activated yeast and milk with the melted butter and form medium hard dough. Leave the dough in a warm place, to rise and double in volume. When risen, knead it for a few minutes and let it rise again.
When the dough rises a second time, knead it and roll it out. Take a pizza cutter and make 9 strips of dough. Make three braids out of the dough strips and wrap them around each other. Leave the bread in a warm place and let it rise again, while the oven is heating. Before baking, brush it with an egg wash and sprinkle with golden raisins. Bake the bread about 40-45 minutes on 180˚C in a preheated oven.
USKRŠNJA POGAČA

Sastojci:
1 kg brašna (tip 400)
700 ml mlakog mleka
150 gr putera
50 gr šećera u prahu
1 kašičica soli
30 gr svežeg kvasca

Kvasac izmrviti, posuti kašičicom šećera i kašičicom brašna, pa ostaviti na toplom mestu da zapeni. Mleko zagrejati da bude toplo, pa u njemu otopiti puter. U drugoj posudi prosejati brašno sa šećerom, dodati mu kvasac i mleko sa puterom, pa zamesiti srednje tvrdo testo i ostaviti ga na toplom da se udvostruči. Premesiti, pa ostaviti da ponovo naraste.
Kada testo naraste i drugi put, premesiti i podeliti na 9 delova, te od njih napraviti 9 traka. Trake motati jednu oko druge, pa napraviti puža u plehu i ostaviti da naraste. Rernu zagrejati na 180ºC, premazati  pogaču jajetom umućenim sa malo mleka, te posuti šakom suvog grožđa. Peći 40 do 45 minuta.
